Dr. Gazda was raised and currently resides on her small family farm in New Sewickley, PA. She grew up caring for many different types of animals. After graduating high school, she attended Penn State University where she obtained her BS in Veterinary and Biomedical Sciences in 2016. She then travelled down south and spent four years in the bayou earning her DVM. She graduated from Louisiana State University in 2020. Afterward, amidst the pandemic, she navigated her first year in practice as a small animal medical and surgical intern at the Virgina-Maryland College of Veterinary Medicine which she completed in 2021. She joined the team at Avalon vet hospital in August 2021 and has been caring for Avalon’s pets since then. Within vet med, she has special interests in aquatic animal medicine, cardiology, ophthalmology, integrative medicine, and emergency medicine. She lives with her lovable tabby cat Cactus and her grandfather. Her hobbies include travelling, swimming, boating, exercising, baking, reading, and spending time outdoors.
